American Counseling & Treatment Center (ACTC) is a private, for- profit agency providing comprehensive, integrated mental health, substance abuse and developmental disability as well as addiction and education counseling services to promote the health and quality of life for consumers in the Baltimore City area. Any individual in need is eligible to receive services without regard to race, religion, disability, national origin, or gender.

ACTC is certified by the Department of Health & Mental Hygiene (DHMH) and Alcohol and Drug Administration to provide Psychiatric Rehabilitation, Intensive Out Patient Therapy, Drug Addiction Counseling Services

Goals

  • To provide Intensive out Patient & out Patient Addiction Treatment, Counseling and Education. To evaluate and plan for the behavioral health needs of our Baltimore City Community members
  • To provide accessible, effective, and efficient Intensive Out Patient & Out Patient to adults clients.
  • To advocate for the rights and needs of individuals with addiction challenges.
  • To engage in active outreach to assure prevention, early intervention, and coordination of services to reduce the impact of addiction problems & complications for the individuals and   community we serve.
  • To train, certify and place our clients on the job in their area of interest in the allied health care field of their choice.

ACREDITATION

American Counseling & Treatment Center (ACTC) is Approved to offer Counseling and Treatment Services to both Adults and Minors by the Maryland Department of Mental Health and Hygiene.

ACTC is also accreditation by JACHO- Joint Commission of Accreditation. JACHO accreditation is a public seal of trust and commitment to quality based on internationally accepted standards. Achieving this accreditation demonstrates ACTC’s commitment to exceptional, personalized care. An organization receiving the JCHO accreditation has undergone a detailed peer review process and has demonstrated to a team of surveyors, during an on-site visit, its commitment to providing programs and services of the highest quality.  

ACTC has gained the approval of MEDICAID to provide billable services the above listed age groups of individuals.
